Kenya 2009

With my recent Kenya trip I have now traveled to around 38 countries and the last continent that I had not visited (Africa.)  I knew that one day I would go to Africa, but that day didn't come until this year. And I don't believe it's the last time.  I want to keep this report short and sweet so I want to point out a few things.
Some of you gave money toward this trip to help feed widows and orphans. We able to purchase several 200 pound bags of corn that were used to feed them and plant the fields for a new harvest. Now we all have seen the TV spots about the hungry in Africa and feeding the poor. I have to say I knew it to be true, but I was never impacted - until now. The Bishop we worked with has over 350 orphans he cares for. That's just one area. Imagine the whole country. I asked him what is the cause for them to be orphaned and the widows to be widowed. He said "Aids and malaria." Then I could see people bathing and drinking water literally from mud holes and drainages ditches. The cause of Typhoid and Yellow Fever. It can be overwhelming. One good thing is that our U.S. dollar still goes a long way and we were able to make a small difference in the food, etc.

Along that lines Tad Gregurich (whom I was traveling with) and I were able to roof a church in the bush! Two hundred U.S. dollars to buy the tin roof and between the two of us we bought it! I was told by the Bishop in email that it has been done! We were also able to assist in buying one of the young ministers a bike and equip him to travel from village to village to preach the gospel. Already got some pics on facebook from him of his new bike and a smile on his face!

As for ministry, we ministered in three different churches, one in the bush! It was my task to minister on the Holy Spirit. In one place 15 or so came to receive the baptism of the Spirit. ALL received - 100%. (Including the bishop's 89 year old mother and his younger son!) In the next church - same thing. About 15 or so came - and all received. In the small church in the bush we had several respond and one received instantly. We also had several healed instantly.

It was a good trip. We are talking about putting together a minister’s meeting for next year to reach several churches and ministries. I'll keep you informed.

THANK YOU for your support - It is MUCH appreciated.

Now I am working on our upcoming S.E. Asia trip. Already purchased tickets and working on visas. Pat & I will be working with the Bangkok RHEMA directors to do a men/women’s/family/marriage seminar. Should be good! More details to come!

Thanks again for your support. I have been asked to teach at RHEMA Brazil in June, Guatemala wants me in May or November, and Africa may be in June....much to pray about. Now I am at the start of another busy school year teaching at RHEMA with a new crop of students. I appreciate your prayers!!!

God bless you. And remember - we are in the last days! Things are happening so fast it's hard to keep up. But of all the prophecies being fulfilled - I am looking for a mighty move, an awakening of God in the land!

In HIM,

Kirk & Pat DuBois
